# Write from approved facts

Use approved facts, a page brief and a draft check.

A writing pack combines approved facts, the page format’s section contract, content gaps and the grading rubric. The brief distinguishes approved facts from unreviewed ones.

## Start from the brief

A page format states each section’s purpose, what evidence it needs and how it handles missing evidence. Use that structure when writing the draft.

## Check the draft

The draft check applies the grading and fact gate used by the console. A number unsupported by any fact is blocked; a number present only in an unreviewed fact receives a separate warning.

The draft check is deterministic. It does not make a model call and costs nothing. A passing draft check does not establish that the page will be cited.

## Keep the measurement question

A piece brief keeps the questions the piece is written for, its section plan, the grade for that version and the finding its live page reports to. That context connects the published work to the question it was written to help.
