AI traffic is the answer your analytics can’t give you: how many visits AI assistants send, what those visitors do, and what they are worth, read from your own Google Analytics. Walk into the budget meeting with a number, not a hunch.

Visits from AI assistants are already in your analytics with nothing to explain them. AI traffic lines them up in four numbers: how much AI crawlers read, how many visits followed, what those visitors did, and what it was worth. The example workspace: 169,470 pages crawled, 2,799 AI-referred visits, 57 conversions from them (2.04%, 1.6× the rest of the site) and €28,220 in value, 2.0× the rest of the site per visit.
Some AI visits arrive without a label: copied links, apps and some in-app browsers strip where a visit came from. AI traffic reports the visits it can prove and marks the figure as a lower bound. The real number is higher, and you won’t be caught overclaiming. Google AI Overviews arrive as ordinary Google traffic and can’t be split out; the list marks them not separable instead of showing a zero.
Not connected, still reading, no AI visits this period, or couldn’t check: each is shown as what it is, because each needs a different fix.
Value is read from your own purchase or event values, in the currency Google Analytics reports. Two currencies are never added into one number.
The figures cover your whole Google Analytics property. The pages list shows which product each page belongs to.
Three views of the same data, all agreeing with each other.
| View | The question it answers | Read it beside |
|---|---|---|
| Visits by week | Is it growing, and did it grow after the work you shipped? | History: the measurement where the change was recorded |
| By engine | Which assistants send visitors, and what those visitors do | Crawler access: an assistant that can’t read your site sends nobody |
| Reach against return | How much AI read, against how many visitors came back | Sources: the pages the answers cited |
AI traffic joins your analytics to what the answers say. These are the claims it won’t make.
| It does not | What it does instead |
|---|---|
| Credit revenue to one answer | Reads visits, conversions and value for the whole property; the answer that sent a visit is not in the referrer |
| Present value per visit as a cause | Prints it as a comparison across one property, with the note from your analytics |
| Split the four numbers per product | Reads the whole site; the pages list shows the product each page belongs to |
| Count Google AI Overviews | Marks them not separable: they arrive as ordinary google.com traffic |
| Invent a visit it cannot record | Reports referrer-based visits as a lower bound and explains why |
Connect Google Analytics, measure your brand, and track the visits AI sends beside the answers that sent them.
