Why your brand was not named

Six different outcomes call for different next steps.

Updated Read as Markdown

A position can report named, not eligible, nobody named, held by others, not named, too few asked or couldn’t check. The six outcomes after named explain different reasons for absence.

Start with the outcome#

The outcomes follow a fixed order. An observed name wins first, then eligibility, whether any seller was named, whether others hold the answers, and finally the evidence about the tracked brand.

Not eligible#

Not eligible is based on a declared fact about the business, such as its service area or segment. A zero mention count cannot establish ineligibility. Check the relevant business fact before changing content.

Nobody named#

Nobody named means the AI tool did not name a seller at this position. It may have answered with criteria instead. Read the answer before treating the result as a competitor win.

Held by others#

Held by others means a stable set of other brands holds the answers at this position. Inspect those brands and the pages cited to understand the position.

Not named#

Not named is the absence outcome used when the sample can support that decision. It is a conclusion about the measured answers, not a claim that the AI tool will never name you.

Too few asked#

Too few asked means the evidence is insufficient to rule out a naming rate. More relevant questions or further answers may be needed before a conclusion is available.

Couldn’t check#

Couldn’t check means the required evidence is unavailable. A failed or unreachable measurement is not proof of absence. Check the underlying reason.
